چکیده

This paper proposes an interconnection of the MATLAB and GAMS software interfaces, which were designed based on a master-slave methodology, to solve mixed-integer nonlinear programming (MINLP) model problem associated with regarding optimal location sizing static distribution compensators (D-STATCOMs) in meshed radial networks, considering reactive power flow compensation fact that networks have commercial, industrial, residential loads for daily operation scenario. The objective this study is reduce annual investment operating costs energy losses installation D-STATCOMs. function classical budget capacity constraints device. In master stage, used program discrete version sine-cosine algorithm (DSCA), determines locations where D-STATCOMs will be installed. slave using BONMIN solver known D-STATCOMs, MINLP representing under solved find value nominal To validate effectiveness proposed optimizer, 33-node IEEE test system both topologies used. With system, numerical comparisons made exact solution model, different solvers software, genetic-convex strategy, discrete-continuous versions Chu Beasley genetic salp swarm optimization algorithm. results show DSCA-BONMIN achieves global study, making method effective tool decision-making companies.

Optimal Distributed Generation Planning in Radial Distribution Networks Considering Protection Coordination Limits

Distributed generation (DG) has been widely used in distribution network to reduce the energy losses, improve voltage profile and system reliability, etc.  The location and capacity of DG units can influence on probability of protection mal-operation in distribution networks. In this paper, a novel model for DG planning is proposed to find the optimum DG location and sizing in radial distr...

Object-Oriented Load Flow for Radial and Weakly Meshed Distribution Networks

Object-oriented load flow modeling is presented for both radial and weakly meshed distribution systems. An OO algorithm based on the Newton–Raphson technique is proposed. In the object oriented formulation, some approximations to the full Jacobian matrix are introduced. Consequently, a detailed study of the convergence characteristics of the proposed object oriented algorithm is presented and s...
